One fun fact about me? I love documentaries! Here are some of my current favorites.
I am very health conscious person, so when my friend told me about Food, Inc. I knew it was something that I would enjoy watching. Your skin condition is affected by so many factors - including by what you put inside your body. Food, Inc. sheds light on the truths behind our nation’s food industry and might just make you question everything you eat after watching. If you are a health-guru like myself, I highly recommend giving this one a watch.
The creators behind the documentary Happy asked the question, “What makes you happy?” and went global in search of the answer. Happy is a wonderful story that gives a unique perspective on life and reminds you the importance of stopping to smell the roses more often.
Which way is the Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington
Documenting the career of photographer and filmmaker Tim Hetherington who was killed while on assignment in Libya, this documentary pays tribute to the man who would go where most were to afraid to go and told the stories that otherwise would have never been told. An inspiring journey told by Hetherington’s former collaborator and friend, Sebastian Junger, features footage, photographs and interviews of the celebrated photographer.
Bill Cunningham, New York
It’s no secret…I love New York.
When I heard about the documentary Bill Cunningham New York I knew I had to see it. Mr. Cunningham captures the unique style and the heart of the city through his pictures in a way that no can. Be prepared to fall in love with NYC a little more…and maybe even prepared to want to buy a plane ticket there ASAP.
