"Breast" Friend Self-Exam Butter

Between my regular mammograms and self-exams, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in August of 2021. As of October 2022, I am now in remission.

An essential fact that I discovered while going through the process and one that I want to preach from the highest mountain...is most women who get breast cancer do not have a family history of the disease.

I found that many women who don’t have breast cancer in their family….put off self-exams and mammograms, thinking they are in the clear. Make yourself a priority. Make your self-exams a monthly ritual. When your doctor says, it’s time to start regular mammograms. Start them.

About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. And even though awareness is at an all-time high, I felt that I could create a product that helps bring attention to the importance of self-exams.

The “Breast” Friend Self-Exam Butter uses rich butters and nourishing oils to provide the ideal slip and slide across the skin needed to help detect unusual lumps and bumps. As a bonus, skin is left soft and supple with a delicate fresh feminine scent.

The fun and quirky packaging was hand-drawn by me, as a fun way to stand out on your vanity or counter and to serve as a reminder to regularly perform self-exams and schedule mammograms.
