LET YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY SHINE
The Importance of Exfoliation

For a lot of busy women, we're doing well if we find the time to remove our makeup before we fall asleep during a Netflix marathon! We're even more impressed with ourselves if we moisturize regularly, but what about exfoliation?

We know now that pollution, aging, sun, and stress can take a toll on the skin. By adding the simple step of exfoliation, we can be well on our way to looking and feeling fabulous.

Here are three good reasons to exfoliate regularly, spoken by a skincare expert, yours truly…

Reason #1 - Remove pesky, slow, dead cells
As we get older, our ability to generate new skin cells slows way down. Without new skin cells, our body isn't eager to shed the old cells. This causes our dead skin cells to pile up on our face - taking on the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and a rough, dry texture.

To make matters worse, old skin cells leave your skin looking dull and lackluster. You may even start to notice excess oil, clogged pores, and frequent breakouts.

Exfoliation removes the layer of skin cells on your face by gently breaking down the tiny bonds in between the dead skin cells and revealing new cells underneath. Regular exfoliation may help prevent future breakouts by promoting clear skin. The result is skin that appears to glow from within.

Reason #2 - Uneven skin tone
For women who are trying to fade dark spots and uneven skin tone, repair sun damage, and smooth the effects of acne, our high grade Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum, the most gentle of the alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), can be quite effective.

The high-potency Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum is our newest addition! It's a gentle chemical peel that helps remove dead skin cells and leaves behind soft and even toned skin. It is gentle enough to be used daily, and I tell my friends that it’s a real game changer.

Fair skinned women to women with dark skin tones will benefit from this serum, as Mandelic acid does not discolor the surrounding skin.

Reason #3 - Help skincare products work better
When your skin has a layer of dead cells, it can't absorb skincare treatments like it should. New skin cells are better adept at holding in moisture.

Special serums and moisturizers can be an investment, but if you rarely exfoliate, then you may need to add a quick step to your beauty regime. Removing dead cells first is the best way to get the most out of your moisturizer.

Another great product to help this process is the Dual Enzyme Polish, which has pineapple and papaya enzymes that gently remove skin cells and unclogs pores. It can be used as a quick daily physical scrub or as an exfoliating mask. You should definitely consider it if you’re struggling with clogged pores and uneven skin texture.

To counteract aging, acne, and dried out skin, you need the proper tools. Exfoliating is the one of the best ways to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Recently, in the morning before my makeup application, I have been massaging a nickel size amount of the Polish all over my face and rinsing it away with our Muslin Clothes. Then I finish with a thin, even layer of the oil-free Sheer Renewal Cream. My makeup goes on so much smoother and seems to say on longer throughout the day.

Take care of your skin, and it will take care of you. Start exfoliating to enjoy a more beautiful complexion. You deserve it!
