New Year, New You



Can you believe 2015 is almost over!? The New Year is quickly approaching, and with it brings New Year’s Resolutions. After the champagne is gone and the fireworks have ended, reality sinks in, and we frantically think of things we hope to achieve in the New Year. Some of us need more help than others to stay focused, so I decided to write down a few tips and some of my goals for the New Year to steer us in the right direction. I hope these inspire you to live your best life in the coming year!

Say "Yes" More Often
Life is short, and we limit ourselves by saying "no" all of the time. This year, make it one of your New Year's Resolutions to say "YES!" to more things in your life. Whether that's spending time with friends on the weekends, networking opportunities, or taking up a new fitness class - explore life with an open heart and mind this year.

Learn How to Stay Healthy
A lot of people focus on their weight at the beginning of a new year, but I'd rather concentrate on just making one healthy choice at a time! Sometimes all it takes is a bit of education to get inspired to live a healthier life. Start reading up on diets, cleanses, and good-for-you foods that can improve your health. Fill your mind with the information you need to make healthier decisions, and you'll fill your body with healthier food and nutrition as a result.

Take Care of Your Skin
Many of us completely forget how important it is to take care of our skin. Just like we go to the gym and focus on leg day, abs, or cardio - our skin deserve special attention too. Go the extra mile one to two nights a week with a mask or exfoliating scrub. A little extra pampering goes a long away, so dim the lights and turn on some tunes - cause momma's got a date with a bubble bath and a Clarifying Detox Mask tonight! Also, invest in beauty products that reverse damage and nourish the skin. A little goes a long way, so even if you can only purchase one item for your beauty toolbox a month, make it a priority to do so.

Reflect on the Positive Moments of Last Year
One of the best ways to face the next twelve months is to reflect on the amazing moments of the previous year. When you can reflect on what has changed and the good things that have happened, you can look towards the future with confidence. Every year brings fresh opportunities to change and improve, now is the time to reflect and build a vision for your life.

Creating a New Year’s Resolution that inspires you is the best way to create a new you in the coming months. At the top of the list for my tips for the New Year is to love yourself and smile often. Learn how to stay healthy and embrace the moment, because before you know it, next year will arrive at your doorstep.
